I recently heard that this year alone we will create more data then we've created in the last 500 years. 

Think about that for a minute...

Then the last 500 years...

Think of some of the things that have been created as far as content and data is concerned in the last 500 years.

• Encyclopedias 
• Millions of books
• Millions of research papers
• Advertising
• Digital media
• YouTube
• Blogs
• VBlogs
• Podcasts
• Millions of music records, CD's
• News segments
• The Internet
• And the list goes on and on...

Isn't it amazing to think how far we've come in such a short period of time?

If you don't think that Big Data is real and that we don't need to learn how to control and work with Big Data, then my friends I think you are seriously overlooking the current environment that we're living in today. 

Big data is coming whether you want it to or not my friends.
