Is Your "Why" In Life Important?

This quote below has been rattling around in my head for the past two weeks, so it's time I get it out and share it with you guys.

"He Who Has A "Why" Can Bear Almost Any How."
- Friedrich Nietzsche

I think the reason it's been in my head is that I've been seeing a lot of people as of late with this COVID-19, quarantine, and just life scare going on all around us.

I think right now some people are just plain lost.

They don't know what to think anymore.

Everything was normal one day and the next day they are in lockdown, the police are being defunded, and there are riots in the streets.

So you might be asking yourself right now... And what does this have to do with your quote?

To be straight to the point I think a lot of people today have lost their "Why".

And just not there "Why" for the past couple of months.

I think a lot of people have just lost their "Why" altogether.

A lot of people today are just on autopilot and they just exist.

I know I've talked about this before in other posts but I think this has really become apparent in the last couple of months.

So many people are just lost and afraid right now.

They feel like they have nowhere to turn and nowhere to go.

It scares them and they don't know how to change it.

The interesting part about all of this is that no one else can give you your "Why".

Your "Why" has to come from within yourself.

Only you can define and decide what your "Why" is and what you want it to be.

Start with a basic level "Why" in your life.

Like why do you get out of bed in the morning?

(And before all of the "depressed" people who read my post and say "I just can't get out of bed most mornings" and "I don't have any purpose in life" start responding below... Save it. Don't even waste your time typing your comment below. This post is for people who want to make a change. So if this is you then do me a favor and stop reading right now and go back to bed. Or if you are still in bed reading this put down your device and roll back over and pay this post no mind. This isn't for you.)

Maybe you get out of bed for some of these reasons:

  • You have a job.
  • You have children.
  • You have parents you care for.
  • You have a business to run.
  • You have a country to run.
  • Your plans for world domination won't happen if you don't keep working at it.

Whatever the reason is that you get out of bed in the morning take a few minutes and realize that is a "Why".

If you have a "Why" to get out of bed in the morning then I know you can add some more "Why's" in your life to help keep you motivated and drive you towards achieving your goals in life.

Just because a pandemic hits, or you are quarantined to your house for a few months, or the police are being defunded, or there are riots in the streets doesn't mean that you can't still achieve your goals in life.

Heck, maybe you will even be able to achieve your goals quicker because of all the crap going on in the world today.

(Maybe your master plan for world domination is actually working and you are only a few days away from achieving your life goal.)

The basic point I'm making here my friends is this...

If you've been given another day on this earth by waking up, then use it to the best of your abilities to achieve the goals you've set for yourself in life.

Don't ever waste time because once the time is spent you can never get it back.

So stop making excuses for yourself and start "Taking Action" instead to make your goals, fantasies, and dreams a reality.
