We had a saying when I was in the military, "The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in battle." Think about that for minute... The more you sweat in Training... the less you bleed in battle.
When I was in the military we trained all day every day. We did things over and over till we got them right. We did things till it was almost like we knew what the guy standing next to us was thinking and he knew what we were thinking. Instead of moving as two individuals we moved as "one". We covered each other and we watched each other blind spots. We were a "Team".
But as with anything in life if you want to be good, and I mean really good at something you have to practice it all of the time. All day every day, if you want to be the best.
So let me ask you a few quick questions.
- What battle is in your near future?
- What are you doing today to prepare for that battle?
- What are you doing today to make sure that no matter what comes your way during that battle, that you are prepared, and ready to win that battle?
If you are going to take the time to train for something, then train your very hardest, and train with a laser like focus on what you want to achieve. When you are training you are willingly giving your time to train and to learn new things. Time is something we can never get back so make every second of your training count.
Never quit or go easy on yourself while you are training, because it is there that you will learn and find what you are truly made of inside.
Last but not least if the thought crosses your mind that this training or practice is to tough or that you can't train or practice anymore remember this one thought.
"I want to train so hard today and sweat so much, that when I step into battle, I won't bleed at all."
Leave the bleeding in battle to someone else who didn't train or practice as hard as you did today. Training and practice is a conscience decision "You" will have to "choose" to make each and every day. Don't let yourself down by choosing not to train and practice your skills each and every day.
This my friends is how your practice and training today will win you any battle you may have tomorrow.
As always thanks for your time, and for choosing to spend a few minutes of your time here with me.
