Let's face the reality of the situation, I've read no less then three articles or posts this week on Cyber Security and how it isn't working. So let's be honest and say it's obvious that what we are currently doing isn't working so why not try something else. Here are a few ideas.
- Different network protocols internal and external to networks.
- Redundant DMZ architectures and designs.
- Not using main stream hardware for your core hardware.
- Not using main stream programming languages for your core applications.
- Recruit more Grey and Black hat hackers for your team. Are White hat hackers even effective anymore?
- Recruit more virus programmers for your team.
- Build some "BlackWater" type teams to deal with and clean up hacking issues.
- Keep some "Secure" networks secure by keeping them accessible only by physical means.
- Make security protocols and algorithms about more then just code and math.
- Bring No Limit, Out of the Box, Disruptive, Growth Hacker, Thinkers together to come up with some new Cyber Security solutions.
If you have any ideas or thoughts on any of the ideas listed here, please leave a comment.
